I laughed a little at this post because I also have a hard time answering "where are you from?" I tell them I lost my "from" When I lived in Cincinnati (for much of my adult life) I told people I was from Chicago area. I've also told people I'm from Connecticut (where I lived until I was 10) or from Brooklyn - where I never lived, but where my grandparents and much of my extended family lived and where we continued to visit from CT, ILL, and Ohio.
